What the specifications say
The C7FSC is a corded 7¼-inch sliding compound miter saw. HiKOKI sells it under its own name in most markets and badges it Metabo HPT in the United States, which is why the same tool answers to both.
The blade is what separates it from the rest of the category. At 7¼ inches it is one of the smallest of the 50 miter saws in the catalogue that publish a blade diameter, where the median is a 10-inch blade and the largest is 12. It turns faster than nearly all of them: 5,300 rpm is the fifth highest of the 57 that publish a no-load speed, against a median of 4,100. It is lighter than the median too, and draws 10 amps where most corded saws in the class draw 15.
Within HiKOKI's own range it is the small one. The C10FCG2 and C10FSB2 take a 10-inch blade and the C12FDHB a 12-inch, so the C7FSC gives up cut capacity for the lower weight and higher speed above. It miters 50° to either side and carries a five-year warranty.
Compiled from Metabo HPT’s published figures and the 7 specifications this catalogue holds for the C7FSC. Not a hands-on test.
